I have never heard of those places. El Rodeo Cafe's prices great. I can take 4 people with drink for around $45. The food tastes like it should fit into East Los Angeles easy!
Awesome place that came highly rated! From the friendly service to the fast delivery of our food, it was an excellent choice! The Chili Verde Burrito was to die for and the Chicken Tostada was excellent too. The chips and salsa were a hit and it was very nice to eat outside.
Steak had a good flavor and tender. Delicious. Mexican restaurant but the waitress didnt speak Spanish
You got to have breakfast there!
Used to be a great place; however, the food no longer taste the same. Keep in mind that instead if FLOUR tortillas, you will get their HORRIBLE corn tortillas. We called to complain. Never again!!!
We were looking for a whole in the wall and we found El Rodeo Cafe. Great service and great food. I had the Chile Verde Chilaquiles. Wow. Spicy but they were delicious. You drink was running low, and right away they will come with another one. Wife had the breakfast burrito and kids had pancakes. Big portions. Delicious.
Great food in local atmosphere. Friendly service.
Great foods great prices great service, what more can you ask for, mom and pop atmosphere.
Ordered a burrito here expecting it to be amazing from the other reviews. Found that the burrito was a bit lacking in taste. For the price the size was good, but wasn't as flavorful as I hoped.
Great little mom and pop joint. Food is consistent and good.
Good, yet cheap Mexican food. Looks like a place the locals would frequent and is easily missed by the normal passer-by. It's off the main area, but still near El Paseo, in a little strip mall. Parking is rarely a problem. Friendly service. Definitely worth a visit.
Best chilaquiles and machaca ever!
If you love salt... You'll like this place. I've been to many authentic claiming places. Not having been to Mexico I guess I can't really claim to know what authentic is. But I do know salty and this place needs to check their measuring cups.
LOVE el rodeo food, delicious taste and good prices. Their green salsa is to die for! (If you love spicy) ;) definitely a kind of hole in the wall place you must try.
Fantastic food, friendly staff, all on a beautiful, new San Pablo Avenue
Great Mexican cafe in the desert, breakfast was fantastic and fresh. The house special of carne asada with eggs, beans and rice. Service was awesome and felt welcomed by a cool staff. Will definitely be back again next time in the Neighborhood.
The Best Chilaquiles Verdes de Asada!!
I've lived here for almost 20 years, and this is the best Mexican food I've had in the mid valley, the food is always fresh, the staff always has a,smile on their faces...if your looking for good food, and to be treated like family, I recommend the El Rodeo cafe!
Best burritos in the desert. Love this place.
The best in town!! Everytime I'm in palm desert I eat breakfast there and its always great!!
The food is good but the green salsa is amazing.
We've been going there for years and the food is amazingly good. I suggest getting the Chilaquiles con Carnitas.
El Rodeo Café translates to The Rodeo Cafe which is fitting because of their rare, turn of the century collection of porcelain horses on display. This invaluable cache of artifacts strives to distract one from the bountiful selection of Mexican cuisine on offer or the Thursday night football game playing one one of their two big screen TV's. Though having been warned by the waitress about it's 'very espicy' flavor, I ordered my carne asada burrito with the green sauce. It was Rico. Thanks.
If you are in palm desert and are not eating here, you need to fix your life.
Easily the best Mexican food in Palm Desert. A hidden gem in an unassuming location. Breakfast all day and the chilaquiles and tlacoyos are stellar. I love this place
Friendly staff and fast service! Everything here is well seasoned. My favorite dish here is the Enchiladas trio!
Delicious, fresh food and excellent service in a casual taco shop atmosphere with the option to take away or dine in. They have plenty of great choices for vegetarians as well. The prices are reasonable and portions are huge. I consider this spot a hidden gem in Palm Desert.
Great food and the workers are super respectful and polite.
Got a pretty good bacon and egg burrito here after I was hungry from hiking at Cahuilla Hills. Not inexpensive, but the burrito was very good. The green sauce was perfect for the burrito. The red sauce was pretty garlicky so I saved it for some takeout chow fun I got from China Jo’s the next day.
My family and I had a wonderful experience today. Food was delicious. The enchilada (chicken) with red sauce was so rich in flavors of chilis, had a bit of spice my son (3yearsold) wasn't used to but he gobbled it up no problem. The service was wonderful. Chili gueritos were 👌 the shrimp cocktail, in my opinion, was the best! The sauce was not as sweet as most and full of lime. We left with a to go order; 1 large shrimp cocktail and green salsa. Mmm
Super hidden gem in the desert. Small holes in the wall mom and pop spot with food that doesn't disappoint. Very authentic and definitely worth the visit. Kind of small so their might be a wait on the weekends but definitely worth the wait. I had the huevos con chorizo and my cousin had the Chile relleno, both of which were fantastic. 5 stars, easily
A go to in Palm Desert. Best carnitas in the area in my opinion.
El rodeo cafe is one of my favorite place to eat in family, in the restaurant or to go, I love the tacos de cabeza (head tacos) and tacos the lengua (tongue tacos) also I love the chicken pambazos.........🌮🌯🍺🍺🤤🤤🤪😋
Always our favorite spot for Mexican food in the valley. Very fresh and flavorful. Not a fancy place but always a great experience. Some road construction out front so wear casual clothes and shoes.
Hidden gem in Palm Desert. Best Chabelas and Chile Gueritos! My favorite place for some authentic Mexican Cuisine. If you like spicy... This is the spot.
Some of the best Mexican food in palm springs.
Delicious shrimp soup the only problem is the construction taking place on San pablo
This place is open despite the construction. We read all of the positive reviews & gave it a try. Turned out to be an absolute gem of a place: EXCELLENT authentic Mexican food, great service. Much needed break from all of the overpriced options that under-deliver. Also one of the few places that have killer Baja fish (grilled, not deep fried) or shrimp tacos that are amazing!!
Great local business with solid food. The food came out hot a quick and was one of the better burritos I've had in this area.
Love this place never had a bad experience!
Like all the other reviews say. Best spot for Mexican food
Food was delicious! Service was awesome.
Stopped on spur of the moment after an appointment in Palm Desert and seeing that they were open during the Covid 19 restrictions. Limited outside seating but excellent food, some of the best tacos either of us have had and I am a Mexican food nut! Careful attention to cleanliness standards and prompt friendly service.
Awesome friendly service and delicious authentic Mexican food best in Palm desert
Great food nice people there 👍♥
The food is soo taaassstttyyy and I mean it. Tortillas and all the ingredients are fresh. The prices are just right. Would highly recommend; this is my favorite spot now.
Great chilaquiles, salsa verde the best.
Great little Mexican spot with delicious food at a fair price. Especially loved the chilaquiles and eggs. The service could have been slightly more attentive but overall was not a bad experience. Their menu has a wide variety of options that should satisfy anyone craving Mexican food.
My husband loves the tacos and menudo. One of the few places that has it all weekend. I love the chile verde. The platter or the burrito. Delicious
Great, real Mexican food. Try the dark beer with clamato juice in it.
Service was great. Food was good. Prices were a bit much for some things. Water tastes so bad oh my; it's like the water company pours the water on the roads and let's the water find it's way to the restaurant (so bad dont get water there). Also the cups seem to have hungry children chewing on them. Pretty good food tho
